About

ZÉTÉNY NAGY is a sonic, visual and multimedia artist.

([ˈzeː.teː.ɲ ˈnɒɟ], he/him)


He is always looking to innovate and bring cutting edge technology and experimental art closer together. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Electronic Music and Media Art at Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. He has received the New National Excellence (Új Nemzeti Kiválóság Program) grant for research on virtual reality composition. He was an artist in residence at Notam in Oslo, Norway, where he produced the audiovisual piece LIFE AFTER DEATH. He has worked multiple times in spatialization, mainly in the Sound Dome of the House of Music, Hungary. His main areas of expertise are spatial audio, Ambisonics, working with multichannel and speaker-dome configurations, virtual reality, interactive installations, audiovisual compositions, UI/UX design for virtual and physical electronic musical instruments, signal processing, improvisation, sound synthesis and abstract sonic art.
